I'm thrilled to combine my passion for writing with my passion for animals.
I was born and raised in Indiana but now live in Memphis, TN. While I miss my Indiana State Fair roasted corn, I adore my sunny, warm Memphis weather.
During my youth, I went to school for 300 years and collected several degrees. I spent a lot of time trying to figure out what I wanted to be when I grew up. In the beginning, I was a mental health counselor. Then I moved to health care marketing and strategic planning. After my two kids were born, I spent time teaching. Eventually, I chose to become a non-employed mom and spent my time raising children, dogs, and volunteering.
Most of the past decade I've spent volunteering with animal organizations. I was blessed to be part of a small team who opened the first low cost spay & neuter clinic in the mid-south area (www.spaymemphis.org).
Now that the kids are in college, my days are spent tapping computer keys and playing with puppies. I think I've finally figured it out!

My newest fur babies came from a local shelter. DiDi (black) and Dexter (brown) are brother and sister, I swear! They are "double trouble." I've never had two puppies at the same time and it's definitely a challenge. But, they are sweet babies and get lots of love and attention from the whole family.
